I'm Janani Kumar. I run paid ads for Shopify stores on Meta and Google, and I build the tracking, landing pages and email flows that make that spend pay back. A fixed $300 USD audit, $75 USD an hour, or from $689 USD a month for Meta and Google together. The first call is free.
Recent work: a DTF printer up 1,300% on gross sales in a quarter, and a menswear brand's revenue up 491% in a month after its acquisition. Earlier, I managed $250,000 a month in B2B SaaS and e-commerce ad spend at Vention and $1 million across seven countries at Maison Battat.
Most Shopify stores do not have an ads problem. They have a pixel that double-counts, a landing page that was never written for cold traffic, and a welcome flow nobody has touched since launch. More budget makes all three more expensive.
I have spent my career in e-commerce and SaaS marketing: Meta ads, Google Ads, Klaviyo, SEO and conversion rate optimization. Earlier on, I ran B2B performance marketing for Vention, a large SaaS and e-commerce company, on a $250,000 monthly budget across the US, Canada and EU, and managed $1 million in digital spend across seven countries at Maison Battat. I was the performance marketer, then Marketing Director, at Taylrd, where we took the brand to its first profitable year and an acquisition. In 2024 I founded Branva, a Shopify marketing agency with its own software for reporting, store audits and SEO. I also run my own DTC brand, Myndr, so I make the same calls on my own money that I make on yours.
When you work with me, I manage the ad accounts myself and treat the store as a whole: what brings people in, what convinces them, and what brings them back.
I do. I'm an independent consultant, not an account manager in front of an agency team. Nobody else runs your ad accounts.
The monthly report covers blended ROAS (MER), new customer acquisition cost, ROAS by channel and email's share of revenue, so you see profitability, not just platform ROAS. Prices are on the pricing page.
One person accountable for acquisition cost, return on ad spend and the measurement behind both. The role I held in-house, now available without the full-time hire.
Meta ads to create demand, Google Ads to capture it, and a budget split based on what your tracking can actually prove.
Simple account structure, a weekly creative testing loop, server-side tracking, and copy that survives review in restricted categories.
Performance Max for prospecting with brand excluded, remarketing on your own data, branded search, and a clean Merchant Center feed.
When Meta and Shopify disagree on purchases: duplicate events, missing server events and wrong values, found and fixed.
Quiz funnels, Klaviyo flows, subscription retention and reporting connected to your ads, so growth does not depend on any one campaign.
B2B SaaS and e-commerce (in-house role)
Ran B2B performance marketing across the US, Canada and EU for a large SaaS and e-commerce company, on a $250,000 monthly budget.
Consumer brand across 7 countries (in-house role)
Managed $1M in digital marketing spend across seven countries for a consumer brand, plus go-to-market plans, SEO and Amazon brand pages.
Premium menswear
Ran acquisition and lifecycle in-house as the brand's performance marketer and Marketing Director, then after its acquisition, returned through Branva to grow monthly revenue 491% across email, Meta and Google.
Zero-nicotine lifestyle pouches
Took over ads, tracking and lifecycle for a zero-nicotine lifestyle pouch brand that two prior agencies had left fragmented, and grew total store revenue 300% in 30 days.
DTF transfer printing
Ran CRO, local SEO, Meta ads and Google Ads as one coordinated system for a Brooklyn DTF printer, growing gross sales 1,300% and orders 1,900% in a quarter.
Organic silk bonnets and accessories
Unified creative, paid ads, email and Shopify admin for a women-founded silk haircare brand, growing sales 100% while cutting ad cost per sale 30%.
Perimenopause brain fog (in-house brand)
My own in-house DTC brand for women in early perimenopause, launched store-to-ads in 14 days on an AI-run stack, with symptom-first Meta ads pulling a 10% CTR.
Luxury human hair brand
Rebuilt email automation and paid ad creative for a luxury hair brand, growing email revenue 183% and cutting customer acquisition cost 38%.
Topical comfort product
Set up Meta ads from scratch for a topical product where ad copy has to stay inside strict claims rules, then took the account through to purchase conversions.
Meta campaigns delivering purchase conversions in a category with restricted claims.
I go through the ad accounts, tracking, Shopify conversion rate, product and landing pages, and Klaviyo flows, and fix the tracking first. You get a written priority list, and we agree targets from your margins: new customer acquisition cost, blended return on ad spend (MER), contribution margin per order and email's share of revenue.
Meta and Google accounts restructured, the first creative tests live, core Klaviyo flows checked or rebuilt, and the highest-impact page fix shipped. This is the working first version of the growth system.
Weekly creative testing, budget moved toward what brings in new customers, conversion tests on product and landing pages, and a monthly written report against the targets from day 14.
| I do | You provide |
|---|---|
| Strategy, targets and the 90-day plan | Your margins or cost of goods, so targets are set on profit, not ROAS |
| All work inside Meta Ads, Google Ads and Events Manager | Access to the ad accounts, Shopify and Klaviyo, which you keep ownership of |
| Tracking fixes and the monthly report | Raw material for ads: founder video, customer content, reviews, product shots |
| Ad copy, creative direction, email flow strategy and page recommendations | Approval on offers, discounts and spend limits |
Production work such as creative edits and email builds is done by the small team at Branva under my direction. Account decisions are always mine.
A Shopify growth marketer owns revenue growth for the store, not a single channel. In practice that means running paid ads on Meta and Google, fixing tracking so the numbers can be trusted, improving the pages that traffic lands on, and building the email and SMS flows that bring customers back. The job is to make those parts work as one system.
Both are possible. Some brands hire me only as their performance marketer for Meta ads and Google Ads. Most get better results when I also handle landing pages, Klaviyo flows and reporting, because that is usually where ad spend is being wasted.
I work with Shopify stores spending under $1,000 a month on ads as well as larger accounts. Budget matters less than tracking, offer and creative. A small budget with clean data beats a large one running blind.
A fixed-price Meta ads and tracking audit is $300 USD, with a written fix list and recorded walkthrough within 3 business days. Consulting and troubleshooting is $75 USD an hour, available within an hour, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm Eastern. Monthly management of Meta and Google Ads together is $689 USD a month for up to $5,000 in monthly ad spend, and $1,500 USD a month for up to $15,000. Above $15,000 a month in ad spend, I quote on a call. Ad spend is paid directly to the platforms.
Yes. I have run ads and written copy for a zero-nicotine lifestyle brand introducing a new category, a topical comfort product and supplements, where claims rules or category education shape everything from the headline to the landing page.
Most of my day-to-day is Shopify and e-commerce, but I have run B2B SaaS demand generation too. At Vention, a large SaaS and e-commerce company, I ran performance marketing across the US, Canada and EU on a $250,000 monthly budget, working against lead volume and lead quality targets.
I'm an independent consultant, and I personally manage every client's ad accounts and make every campaign decision. Nobody else runs your account. I also founded Branva, a Shopify marketing agency; its small team helps with production work such as creative edits, email builds and SEO content, under my direction.
I keep branded search and remarketing separate and small, judge prospecting on new customer acquisition cost rather than total revenue, and track blended return: total Shopify revenue against total ad spend. If platform ROAS rises but blended return doesn't, the ads are taking credit rather than creating sales.
The whole store. An audit covers the ad accounts, tracking, Shopify conversion rate, product and landing pages, and Klaviyo email flows, because the problem is often outside the ads.
Yes. Campaigns, budgets, tracking, creative testing and reporting on Meta and Google are all done by me, not handed to an account manager or a junior media buyer.
A free 30-minute call. Bring your ad account and Shopify numbers if you can. You leave with a short list of priorities, whether or not we work together.
